From 1993 to the present, Paul and Sandi Taylor, along with professional scribes and photographers, have consistently published a quarterly magazine that appeals to thousands of national and international readers in fourteen countries.
In 1993, they launched Route 66 Magazine from Laughlin, Nevada. When 1996 rolled around, the couple moved the entire operation to Williams, Arizona on Route 66 where they also opened a gift ship, focusing on highway related memorabilia.
Out of the magazine grew radio station “KRTE,” as well as an additional gift shop in Williams. Route 66 related events were sponsored by the magazine in Texas and New Mexico, and satellite shops were established on the Mother Road in Texas and Oklahoma, as well as an international subscription and marketing office in Shrewsbury Shropshire, England.
The Taylors appear among the production credits of the Disney/Pixar CARS movie released in summer of June 2006.
In 2001, after Route 66 Magazine returned to Laughlin, Nevada, the company partnered with Akron, Ohio based “Sport Truck Connection Television” to assist in the filming of national travel related shows for 300 million viewers of the national cable television show.
Now located in Port Richey, Florida, the Taylors, supported by staff and contributing and freelance scribes, continue to publish the only magazine dedicated to the preservation of Route 66 and other Blue Line highways.
